Concept Research
For this piece, the choreographer wanted to embrace the idea of ‘long ago and far away and here and now’. The piece was ethereal and out of time. I was inspired by the timeless art of marble sculpture and the way that stone could be manipulated to look delicate and reveal the human form through the way it clung and draped. This lead be to the false wet dresses and a sculptural concept.
